8:00 AM TOUR BEGINS AT THE KAPOK TREE BRIDGE AT THE ENTRANCE OF OSA INTERACTIVE GARDENS. OUR TOUR DIRECTOR WILL GIVE A SHORT INTRODUCTION, INCLUDING SITE HISTORY AND BACKGROUND ABOUT THE PROJECT. A SHORT HIKE FROM THE RIVER TO GARDEN CENTER.
8:30 AM TOUR DIRECTOR(S) DISCUSS THE HISTORY OF THE OSA PENINSULA and PUERTO JIMENEZ, the reserve site history, AND HOW BUTTERFLIES are A TOOL FOR CONSERVATION.
9:15 AM FRESH FRUIT AND GARDEN WALK TOUR. VISIT THE DEVELOPING BUTTERFLY ENCLOSURE AND CLIMB THE TREEHOUSE PLATFORMS. Learn about the BUTTERFLY LIFE CYCLE, IDENTIFYING HOST PLANTS AND BUTTERFLY EGGS, AND MORE

11:00 AM GARDEN VOLUNTEERING LIKE TREE PLANTING, COMPOSTING, PROCESSING SEEDS, AND MAKING PLANT CUTTINGS and/or ART PROJECT! CREATIVE DRAWING AND PAINTING AROUND THE PROPERTY TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE BEAUTY AND COLOR AT OSA INTERACTIVE.

ABOUT THE BUTTERFLY HABITAT
THE BUTTERFLY ENCLOSURE IS seasonal and stocked with populations and species at different times of the year, the STRUCTURE IS A HUGE SPACE SPANNING 25×35 meterS. visitors can climb three hand-carved treehouse platforms, Each platform REPRESENTs stages of forest succession from Primary, Secondary, and pioneer THERE View the butterfly life cycle in the outdoor laboratory AND many BUTTERFLIES OUTSIDE OF THE HABITAT. OIG is an excellent settings for photographers to capture rarely seen and difficult to photograph subjects.
ABOUT THE BOTANICAL GARDENS
Inside the butterfly habitat and around the picnic tables, classroom, and tropical rainforest trails, visitors will find an extensive collection of PLANTS including heliconias, passifloras, orchids, medicinal plants, and many familiar tropical fruit favorites, like banana, cacao, pineapple, and papaya. WE HOPE THE experience leadS to a greater appreciation of our food, especially tropical fruit and the effort to deliver it ripe and fresh to destinations thousands of miles away. These productive and healthy plants offer habitat and food sources that attract daily visits by butterflies, macaws, toucans, monkeys, and other wildlife. OSA INTERACTIVE GARDENS IS a biological corridor to corcovado national park (one of the most biodiverse places on Earth). Over 130 bird species have been recorded on OUR site and FOUR species of monkeys PASS REGULARLY.
